You are invited to our Meatless Mondays in January

As much as we love meat… and we do! We understand how important it is not to eat meat at every meal, and to make sure you are eating locally and sustainably sourced meat as a treat. All our meat is sourced from Lake District Farmers, who’s mission is:  “To produce a sustainable future for fell farming in Cumbria. 

Meatless Monday is an international campaign that encourages people to not eat meat on Mondays to improve the health of the planet. Sustainability is important to us because we are believers in real, clean food and a responsible food chain supply. If we do not practice sustainability, we are going to dwindle our sources of good, clean, real food.

We are big fans of specialty produce and have fantastic veggie options. Currently, on our menu, we have our Vadouvan Roasted Cauliflower with Chickpea Curry, Crispy Shallots, and topped with Almonds which you’ve all given so much love. Most of our vegetables are cooked to order in our wood fire oven, which we believe adds a unique depth of flavour to them and is a favourite for our guests.
