Our Best Menu Yet

A lunch menu to rival any other

For our final Summer in Boyce’s Street, we have dreamt up a lunch menu to rival any other, a set 2/3 course menu for £20/£25 with limited edition Coal Shed dishes.

A few months ago, our Head Chef was challenged to create the ultimate summer lunch menu. It had to include moreish seafood dishes that liven the palate and the UK’s best quality seafood and beef cooked over charcoal.

After many tastings, and countless hours spent sourcing ingredients we’re proud to present our best menu yet. A line up of dishes which will never appear in our restaurant again at these incredibly wallet-friendly prices.

The stellar line up of dishes includes: Crispy Calamari with harissa crème fraiche, line-caught South Coast Seabass Crudo dressed in orange citrus and fennel. Slow braised Short Rib Tacos with avocado and jalapeños. 35-day dry-aged Flat Iron Steak served with our beloved chips and classic bearnaise sauce.

A Coal Shed first, a Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger. Succulent, meltingly tender, special grade wagyu beef sandwiched in a brioche bun and cheese with plenty of pickles and mustard mayo. Or lunch like a royal and opt for the native Half Lobster with sustainably caught and fresh from that same morning, served with garlic butter for the all-important dunking and fries for a mere £5 supplement.

Coal Shed Porterhouse steak

A great restaurant needs two things to make it a success – an incredible team and equally incredible suppliers. Over the years, we have worked with some of the country’s best beef suppliers, two being HG Walter and Hannan Meats, both family-run independent butchers specialising in British beef who share our values and love of providing the best quality produce.

We’ve worked with the founders of both businesses to create a limited edition menu featuring specially sourced cuts at the same prices as when we first opened our doors in 2011.

These specials include –
Chateaubriand 700g £55
Porterhouse 700g £40
Bone-in Sirloin 500g £35
Wagyu Bavette 500g £55.

The cuts (excluding the wagyu) are grass-fed native breeds from British farms and dry-aged for a minimum of 28 days in Himalayan salt chambers.

Available every Tuesday to Thursday, from 5-6.30pm, until we close our doors. This is our way of expressing gratitude for your support and celebrating our mutual love of beef.

Please note availability is extremely limited, reserve your table to avoid disappointment.
