To cap off 13 years of serving up the best wood-fired meat and seafood in Brighton, we’re putting together the ultimate tasting menu which will include some of the special new dishes currently being developed for the new Coal Shed on North Street. The menu will include a welcome cocktail, after which you will be brought out plate after plate of the best food we have ever served up at The Coal Shed.
Our 5-course tasting menu will include Gildas, Blue Prawn Toast, Wood-Fired Atlantic Scottish Salmon, Clay Baked Beetroots, a Tasting of Steak with Westholme Australian 9+ Wagyu Striploin, Black Angus Scottish Tenderloin and Longhorn Irish Prime Rib served with Espelette Fries, Spinach Rockefeller, Blistered Tomato Salad, Béarnaise Sauce and Sauce au Poivre. For dessert, we have our newly-created Brioche Brulée with popcorn, dulce de leche and Madagascan vanilla, followed by an assiette of sweets including jelly, smoked chocolate and marshmallow.
This outstanding tasting menu will also have an optional wine flight featuring some of the wines selected for the new Coal Shed, all expertly paired to compliment the beautiful wood-fired flavours and produce on our menu. And, as if all that wasn’t enough, we’ll also have a few opportunities for diners to win a complimentary meal for two at our new Coal Shed site when it opens in September to really dial up the excitement.
Our final weekend tasting menu is only available on Friday 30 & Saturday 31 August at £85 per person and availability will be extremely limited. This is one you really don’t want to miss out on, so get yourself booked in and let’s give our Boyce’s Street Coal Shed the send-off it deserves.
