Spring’s here, and with it a new à la carte menu built around what’s in season, kissed by flame and full of bold flavour.

New for the season, Grilled Butterflied Seabass lands bright, clean and full of coastal freshness. Lamb Cutlets come charred and juicy, made for the centre of the table, while our Steak Tartare is finished with crisp matchstick potatoes for that perfect crunch.

And, of course, the steaks. Cut with care, cooked over hot coals and served exactly as they should be.

Spring at The Coal Shed Brighton brings fresh, bright flavours behind the bar.

Crisp Lemongrass Palomas, juicy Watermelon Collins and sparkling White Peach Sangria are perfect for sunny afternoons, while the Cucumber Basil Sour and Strawberry & Basil IPAmericano add fresh, seasonal twists.

Non-alcoholic options like the Watermelon Spritz and Cucumber Collins are just as lively. Whatever your pick, our spring sips are made to refresh and complement every visit.

Two courses for £19

A seasonal, flame-led set menu built for long lunches and early evening plans, with two courses for £19 or three courses for £24. Expect bold flavours from the grill, crisp freshness, and proper Coal Shed indulgence.

Start with Charred Watermelon with whipped feta, Lamb Merguez Hot Dog, or a Black Bean & Tomato Taco. From the fire, Grilled Seabass with ox heart tomato and sauce vierge, The Coal Shed Smash Burger, or Charred Hispi Cabbage with lemon tahini all bring big flavour and balance.

Add sides like Beef Fat Chips or Smoked Beef Mac ‘n’ Cheese, then finish with Strawberries & Cream or Baked Vanilla Cheesecake.
