Learn MoreTucked just off the river at One Tower Bridge, between the bustle of Borough and the slick of Shad Thames, our bar and terrace are a rare find — hidden enough to feel exclusive, central enough to stroll into from anywhere. With plush seating, soft lighting and full cover from the elements, this is a pocket of calm in the capital where the drinks flow and the playlist hits just right.
Whether you’re meeting mates for a martini, lining your stomach with oysters before a show at The Bridge Theatre, or looking to make post-work drinks a little less predictable — our bar and terrace are the move.
Every Monday to Saturday, from 5–6pm.
Buy a drink. Get a chef’s snack. Simple.
At 5PM sharp, we hit pause on the workday and turn up the good stuff. Our chefs send out complimentary bar snacks — fresh from the pass and always changing — with every drink you order. Think chargrilled bites, smoky little numbers and one-offs you’ll wish you could order by the plate.
No secret handshakes. No minimum spend. Just a little something extra for being in the know.
Cocktails, Wine, and the Occasional Curveball.
Our bar team doesn’t do average. Our cocktail list is split down the middle — half signature serves crafted by our bar team, half timeless classics with a Coal Shed twist.
On the signature side, expect boundary-pushing techniques, seasonal ingredients and a healthy dose of fire. These are original creations you won’t find elsewhere — refined, inventive and built to surprise. On the classics side, it’s the drinks you know, done our way. Think perfected Negronis, sharper-than-sharp Martinis, and Old Fashioneds that don’t mess about.
Beer more your thing? We’ve got a strong rotation of local favourites and imported pours that go down just right on the terrace. Whether you’re in the mood to explore or after something familiar and flawless, our bartenders have you covered.
Fire-led bites made for drinking, grazing and staying longer than planned.
This isn’t just a drinks bar. Our bar food hits with the same fire-first approach as the main menu. Think beef tartare and martinis, grilled tacos and mezcal, our signature Coal Shed cheeseburger or a plate of padron peppers with your pint. Food that fills a gap, or becomes the main event — your call.
The terrace is open all day and fully covered and heated — perfect for lazy lunches, pre-theatre pit stops or long evenings under the lights.
Walk-ins welcome. Tables of up to eight can be booked online. Private hire available on request.
From first sip to final snack, our bar and terrace were made for good times. Whether it’s post-work drinks, weekend catch-ups or a spontaneous cocktail stop, we’ve got the space, the flavour and the vibe. To book a table, plan a group hangout or enquire about private hire, just drop us a line — we’ll take care of the rest.
Pull up a seat and gather around the flame where we bring the best of land and sea to your plate. Cooked over fire, served with flair, and perfect for slow conversations and unforgettable bites.
Step out of the ordinary and into something more flavourful. Perfect for business meets or midweek treats, our lunch menu serves up fire-cooked dishes made to impress.
Make your next event one to remember. Our team knows how to turn your intimate gathering (or full venue hire) into a truly standout occasion with exceptional food and drink.
