Since opening in 2017, we’ve built a reputation as one of London’s best steakhouses – and while that’s something we’re incredibly proud of, The Coal Shed has recently evolved into so much more.

With the redevelopment of our menu, we’ve taken things to the next level. From flame-roasted seafood and bold new vegetarian and vegan dishes to indulgent Sunday roasts and expertly crafted cocktails, we’re redefining what dining at The Coal Shed is all about. Lunch & Pre Theatre

For us, the secret to a great menu is simple: start with ingredients that are already exceptional before they even hit the grill. Whether it’s perfectly aged cuts of meat, the freshest seafood, or seasonal produce sourced from across the British Isles, we believe great food begins with great ingredients. This ethos is at the heart of everything we do and is reflected across all of our menus.

And when it comes to our set menus, we haven’t compromised on quality. Our set lunch and pre-theatre menu, priced at £26/£30 for 2 or 3 courses available from 12-3pm & 5-6.30pm Monday-Friday, offers incredible value without cutting corners. Packed with the same care and quality as our à la carte options, it’s some of the best food you’ll find at this price in London.

We take just as much care in selecting our seafood suppliers as we do with our beef, ensuring every ingredient meets the highest standards of quality and sustainability. Sourcing from some of the best coastal producers across the UK, we’re proud to bring you seafood that’s as fresh and flavourful as it gets.

SUNDAY ROASTS

A great roast is hard to beat – but, lo and behold, we’ve gone ahead and raised the bar. Our Sunday Roast is a true celebration of everything we love about this iconic British tradition, elevated with our signature cooking over fire.

At the heart of the feast is a sharing 500g Roasted Salt-Aged Sirloin of Beef, cooked to perfection over an open flame to give it a rich, smoky depth of flavour. This showstopping centrepiece is accompanied by all the traditional trimmings done right: think crispy roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, fluffy Yorkshire puddings, and lashings of rich gravy.
